    A liquid diet recipe is a diet that consists of consuming only liquids. There may be any
    number of reasons for following a liquid diet: weight loss, digestive problems, or post-operative dietary restrictions. Regardless of the reason, this is a short-term diet that essentially replaces fluids at all of your meals. But do not worry. Even with the apparent restrictions of this diet, you can choose from some of the most delicious foods.



    To dispel the myth that a liquid diet is expensive and unsatisfying, we've listed 20 of our favorite quick and healthy liquid diet ideas. If you need some inspiration, they can help you put together a nutritious and satisfying liquid diet menu.

    Ingredients

    3/4 cup frozen mango

    3/4 cup frozen pineapple

    1/2 cup of frozen papaya

    2 large bananas, cut into chunks

    1/3 cup orange juice

    1/3 cup pineapple juice

    1/3 cup coconut milk

    1 tablespoon lime juice

    Instructions

    Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth.

    Pour into glasses, drink and enjoy.

    2. Banana and Almond Milk Smoothie

    Ingredients

    2 bananas, sliced and frozen

    1 cup Almond Breeze Original Almond Milk Feel free to substitute regular or soy

    1 tablespoon flax seeds

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    ½ teaspoon cinnamon

    Combine all ingredients in a blender and pulse on high speed for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until mixture is completely smooth and thick. Serve immediately.

    3. Blueberry, Banana, and Orange Smoothie

    Ingredients


    1 tablespoon almond butter, peanut butter, or cashew butter

    1 teaspoon of chia seeds

    1 teaspoon of hemp seeds

    1 teaspoon of flax seeds

    1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup

    Instructions


    Add the blueberries, banana, orange, and 3/4 cup of milk to a blender. If you plan to add any, add optional ingredients to the blender.

    Turn on the blender and blend until creamy and smooth. If the shake is too thick, add a little more milk.

    4. Apple Pie Smoothie

    Ingredients

    2 medium apples I used Pink Lady apples

    You can omit 1/4 cup of the almond milk if you prefer a thicker shake; apples produce a lot of fluid

    1/4 cup rolled oats

    1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    1 cup Greek yogurt substituted for plant-based yogurt to make it vegan

    1 tablespoon maple syrup can be substituted for agave or honey if desired

    Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until completely smoot

    Consume immediately or store in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy!

    5. Pumpkin mousse

    Ingredients

    8 ounces cream cheese, softened

    1 cup brown sugar

    2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

    15 ounces of 100% pure pumpkin

    In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spice until light, fluffy, and well blended.

    Add the pumpkin puree and mix until just combined.

    In a separate bowl, mix whipped topping ingredients until thickened and stiff peaks form.

    Fold about ¾ of the whipped topping into the pumpkin cheesecake mixture until just blended.

    Pour the mousse into individual glasses. Use the remaining ¼ of the whipped topping to cover the mousse. Then sprinkle on chocolate chips, cinnamon, or candied nuts.

    6. Banana Berry Smoothie

    INGREDIENTS

    1/2 small banana, frozen

    3/4 cup mixed berries, frozen

    1 handful of spinach (optional)

    1 tablespoon. almond butter or nut butter of choice

    1/4 avocado

    1 teaspoon chia or flax seeds

    2 tablespoons collagen peptides or protein of choice (use plant-based protein for vegans)

    1/2–1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of your choice

    1/2 cup ice

    optional: 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (omit for dairy-free or vegan)

    INSTRUCTIONS

    Place ingredients in a high powered blender and blend until smooth. For a thinner shake, add 1 cup of liquid; For a thicker shake, start with 1/2 cup and add more until desired consistency is achieved.

    7. Fresh Ginger Beer

    Ingredients

    4 cups of water

    2 cups of peeled and chopped fresh ginger

    3 lemon peel strips, about 4 inches each, yellow part only

    1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

    3 quarts soda, cold

    Instructions


    In a 4-quart saucepan, place the water, ginger, and lemon zest. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for about 10 minutes.
